Space2BU

Welcome to Space2BU

A place where you can just be yourself.

After-school drop-in space for young people: Monday 3–4.30pm for ages 11–14, Friday 3–4.30pm for ages 14–16.

Looking after our mental health and emotional wellbeing is important for all of us. Space2BU is a place where you can take some time out for yourself, learn a new skill, connect with others, share your talents, and notice some of the awesome things in the world around us.

At Space2BU you get to choose how you spend your time. Crafts, activities, pool table and board games are on offer, as well as drinks and snacks — you can bring your own quiet activity or just hang out with friends. There’s a quiet space for prayer and meditation for anyone who wants it.

Space2BU is run by Christians in North Cambridge who care about young people’s mental health. Some of us have struggled with mental health ourselves, and have found that being part of a supportive community can help us stay well.

All our volunteers have DBS checks and experience working with children and young people. We operate in accordance with the safeguarding policy of Arbury Road Baptist Church.

We request that young people participating in Space2BU obtain consent from their parent or guardian. A consent form and welcome pack will be given to each young person on their first visit.
